O, Frabjoyous Day!
I just spent 2 hrs. in the orthodontist's office. After 6 1/2 yrs., today was the big day. I got my braces off. YAY! I'm so excited! Right now, I'm stuffing my face with my favorite candy that I haven't been able to eat for 6 1/2 yrs...Tootsie Roll Dots. They're still as good as I remember.I haven't told anyone that I was getting them off today, so shh! It'll be our little secret. Mike & my kids are in for a big surprise tonight. Or maybe I am, if no one notices. I don't care. I'm free! Free to eat popcorn and almonds and nachos and sticky candy. I'm gonna gain 20 lbs. aren't I?
UPDATE: My daughter came over and didn't notice at all. She did notice the half-eaten box of Dots on the table, and started scolding me. I just looked at her & smiled really big. She did a double take & squealed "OHMYGOD! You got them off!" and high-fived me.
One down, two to go. This is fun.
