Hurray!
Hurray!
I had some great news waiting for me when I got home. The juvenile prosecutor & I did a 6 day jury trial back in March, terminating a parent's rights to 3 of the sweetest little girls you ever saw. The parent had appealed the termination, and the prosecutor & I had written a joint brief arguing that the termination was necessary and done correctly according to Oklahoma law.Not only did the appeals court agree with us, but also quoted much of our brief in its opinion. I love it when that happens. The court also stated as a further basis for their opinion that the children's attorney (me) argued vigorously in favor of the termination. I sointantly did.
So three cheers for the good guys. We won another one.
