Mangled Metaphors
Mangled Metaphors
Don't you love it when you run across a good one? My favorite, and I've forgotten the source, regards a foreign dignitary who is trying to avoid taking sides in a disagreement until one side looks to be a clear winner. Another dignitary said about him, "He's sitting on the fence with both ears to the ground, which is a most uncomfortable position for him to be in."Mangled, but so true.
