Whew!

Whew!

Pumpkin pies are cooling. Did I spill filling in the floor & in the oven because I filled one crust too full? Of course I did, that's another Thanksgiving tradition around here. I'm thinking about making a batch of cinnamon/sugar coated pecans too later. Right now I'm working on Christmas lights again. It's reasonably nice out, provided you can get out of the wind. I'm just about finished, except for the ones along the high part of the roof. I'll wait until Mike can be here in case I fall or something.

I used to be absolutely unafraid of heights when I was younger. Climb to the very top of a tall supple sapling, get a good grip on the top & jump. Kinda like a hillbilly bungee jump. Or cut a grapevine on a steep hillside, so when you would be at the height of the swing, you were a good 20-30 feet from the ground.

Not anymore. I'm not afraid of heights really, just got old enough to have enough sense to know if I fall, that sudden stop at the end is really gonna hurt.
