Don't Mess With Arkies, Either
Back in June, we had an incident where some nut named McCarter chased two girls down I-540 late one night, ran them off the road, then tried to rape both of them. Two young good ol' boys, Mr. Moll and Mr. Evans, happened upon the scene, found out what was going on, and caught the guy after he wrecked his car trying to get away. In one interview, one of the boys said the guy pulled a police baton out and asked, "Now what are you gonna do"? The boy said he took it away from the guy, and proceeded to show him. From all reports, he beat that guy like a rented mule.By the time the boys had the guy properly subdued, a kindly trucker had stopped, and helped them truss the guy up with a 2-inch cargo strap. In one article I read at the time (but can't find now), the boys said they were having problems getting the guy back over the fence with him trussed up and all. So they just picked him up and tossed him over the fence like a bale of hay. Practical boys, weren't they?
Cops arrive and nut is taken away. Rescued girls kiss their heroes, and everyone makes a big fuss over these boys. Their response? Why, shucks, 'tweren't nothing but what any guy would've done. They were just glad they caught the guy.
Moll says his knuckles were a little sore, and he and Evans had a few scrapes, but Moll said McCarter suffered the most injuries.
Ain't that a shame?
