Waiting for Delivery, Again

Waiting for Delivery, Again

Just called to confirm (I'm learning) that the military will be delivering my son's stuff today. Since I'm going to be here most of the day, I decided to finish the last of 3 scrubs tops I'm making for my daughter. The other 2 went relatively well, considering I'm not much of a seamstress. This one, though. GRRRR! I'm sure my daughter thought the material was cute (and it is) but it's what I call "Frankenstein" material. You know, "It's ALIVE! It's Alive! Ah ha hahaha". Lightweight, slippery, I swear it tried to crawl off the table on its own while I was attempting to cut it. Does the same thing while you're sewing, which is fun. Very tedious.

So I'll be taking frequent breaks, not being a very patient person. Otherwise, at some point I will put everything in a sack, stuff in in the chiminea outside, douse it with lighter fluid, and dance around it laughing madly while it burns. Not that I'm already considering that or anything. Ahem.

UPDATE: Delivery received (finally); scrub top successfully completed. It's been a pretty good day.
