Well, that wasn't very informative, was it? "We want you to call back cuz we couldn't understand exactly what you were saying." Rank speculation: the caller was using a pre-paid cell phone, bad connection, also supposedly untraceable. Police are trying to get him or her to call back on a land line by saying they couldn't hear clearly so they can trace the call.And what's with the no info on the guys picked up in Virginia? I understand that the police don't want to risk screwing up the investigation, but it's frustrating not knowing. They obviously think they have something or they would've released the guys by now, IMO.
Is a mystery.
UPDATE: The two guys, a Mexican & a Guatemalan, are being turned over to INS for immediate deportation. They're not connected with the sniper, but I'd like to know the story behind the "immediate deportation." I'm no immigration expert, but that seems a little unusual. INS usually doesn't move too swiftly.
