Susanna Cornett over at cut on the bias has an interesting posting on the Maryland Assassin and his motivations. Go read it. It's good.I have little to no expertise in this area, so I haven't said much about it, except that I don't believe he's any kind of trained sniper. His shooting ability is unremarkable, and he shoots kids and unarmed people in the back. I'm not impressed.
The only quibble I have with Susanna is that I can't keep from having the nagging suspicion that this is somehow connected with Al-Quada, if only in the killer's twisted mind. Or maybe I'm just a wee bit paranoid due to their recent round of atrocities. Whatever the basis, I hope this nut gets taken out soon.
