Entirely up to you...I was just trying to avoid that "gender confusion" embarrassment...you know, like when you're complimenting someone on their adorable little baby girl only to be told in no uncertain terms that it's a bouncing baby boy.

Which should not to be confused with the resulting awkwardness when a proud parent asks you what you think about their baby & you realize to your horror that it is the ugliest baby you've ever seen. I handle that by saying "Well just look at you...yes, look at you" & tickle the baby under the chin while thinking "For the love of G*d, look at you, you poor ugly child."
