Kosher Hogs

There will be a new group at Bike Week in Daytona--a Jewish biker group called the Star of Davidson club. T-shirt motto: "My hog is kosher". Members are primarily Jewish, though there's also Christians & a Muslim. And like most Harley riders today, they aren't exactly Hells Angels.

Most Star of Davidson members own their own businesses and have the time and wherewithal to indulge their hobby. "I'm a nice Jewish boy who likes motorcycles, shoots guns from time to time, and kills things for a living," said Seth Tokson, 43, of Armonk, owner of Absolute Pest Management Inc.

They aren't the only Jewish bikers, of course. There's also the Armonk Biker Boyz, the Chai Riders, the Hillel's Angels, and the Yowies (Yiddim on Wheels). But my absolute favorite is a club of Jewish lawyers from in Ulster County, N.Y. called the Goniffs....Yiddish for thieves.

I love it.

...but do they ever give their moms rides?

"Slow down!"

"Ethel's son has a Harley but you had to get a Honda!"

"Have you no shame. A BMW?"

"Can we warm this chicken soup on the exhaust pipes?"
