Big Gun
Kim wants someone to design a revolver for this.
Basically, it consists of a 2,500gr. bullet, driven by 250 grains of Alliance Red Dot powder, leading to a muzzle velocity of 2,780 fps and a terminal energy of "who cares?" ft-lbs.
You'll put your eye out...on second thought, that would rip your arm off.

Oh, thanks. Now my trip to the range is going to feel like a trip to the ladies' room.

Suffering from cartridge envy?
So how do you like the .50?

I'll tell you how I feel. I feel like someone ought to bulldoze Trail Glades Range for posting the wrong hours on their website.
My next chance is Thursday.

Don't you hate it when they do that? I mean, it's not that hard to update a website.

Um, a 2,500 grain bullet is about 15 times bigger than anything I can fire out of my .40 S&W. What sort of tripod mount does this gun come with?
And can it be remotely fired so that I can be about a half mile away and KEEP my hearing?
But it sure is a shiny bullet (though I think, technically, this is an unguided missile).
I'm just imaging buying a box of 20 or (shudder) 50 and trying to get that box out to the car.

Erik, I'm not sure...I'm still trying to imagine someone big enough to shoot that out of a revolver & live to tell the tale.
