Clarification
No, I'm not quitting (but hey, thanks to all one of you for asking)....just this is becoming a real pain in the ass. See, I worked most of the weekend getting the disappearing link problem fixed so it would work in the Opera OS. It worked fine for me in IE. It worked in Opera. But apparently it still doesn't work for everyone, even though the stylesheet kindly provided to me by Craig was validated, meaning it should work just fine in any browser.
So I completely changed the stylesheet back to a default MT stylesheet, completely different template and color scheme. If the links still disappear for you, I don't know what to tell you except
One size fits most.

I would be in seriously deep ca-ca, if I were in your shoes, as I have no idea what any of that stuff you are talking about means. Opera OS...IE...Stylesheets...MT stylesheets. Sounds like duct tape won't get it done. It makes my hair hurt. Good luck!

Duct tape! That's what I'll use. If duct tape won't fix it, then you don't need it anyway, right?
Thanks, Jim.

Adam, I see why parents like you.

If people would just upgrade their versions of Opera to the new one (7.something) then they wouldn't be having this problem. I did do some site redesigning to accomodate those who, for some reason, were unable to upgrade, but I refuse to go any further. 'Tain't my fault if they have some weird, arcane browser and/or system that only .00056 of the people on the internet use. Grr.

The person who was originally having problems was using Opera 7.0. From what I read on the Opera website, it looked like there's still occasionally a problem with it reading some stylesheets correctly. I needed to fix that, a lot of people use Opera...or so I hear.
Now if I can just get Mike to clear out enough space to install the MT upgrade...hint hint.

God, that sound complicated. Just use Blogger - that never has problems!
Please excuse me, while I now go dodge incoming verbal fire.

Tony

Welcome to your new career in the IT world. Are you sure you want to go in this direction? It gets worse, not better.
Today's ridiculous request from an attorney: "Can you adjust the firewall to let us into this Golf Club site so that we can reserve tee times?"
"No."

I'm fairly certain there'll be no chickens involved in my new career, Keith...right? Please tell me that's right, for the love of God.
Hey we're not all tech idiots, just most of us...yesterday ridiculous research request from an attorney: "Also, I need you to find me the current Medicaid income eligibility requirements for nursing home care. There's a website somewhere I think."
"Well thanks, that certainly narrows it down."
Tony, you're right, I didn't have these problems when I was on Blogger...when my site wasn't down that is.

I figure there are like, what, seven people on the planet using Opera? Join the Bill Gates Continuum and assimilate, people. Resistance is futile.

No chickens, but there is a weekly thing with a large flat rock, a goat and a knife. Usually involves the most critical server, and is normally required at about midnight on Saturday.
The 4AM rituals on Tuesday ("We've got a very important closing!") are an entirely different problem. Ask your husband for more details.

Oh I'm not going to be maintaining systems...I have to have a good understanding of how they work so I can raid & pillage them. In a perfectly legal way, of course.
Bwahahaha!

I despise you and your kind. You're like those damn IP attorneys; always tinkering with the laptops and introducing all sorts of annoying software to the network...
