EEEEWWWW!
WHO says the likely source of China's SARS epidemic is civet cats, which they consider a delicacy. That is just gross. You ever smell a civet cat? Worse than a skunk, and twice as nasty....they're like a cross between a skunk and a ferret.

I got cornered in the cellar by a civet cat once. Scared the crap out of me.
There is no level of hunger that would induce me to eat one of the smelly thing. Ish.

Civet cats look like Bengal cats, which are supposed to be a cross between an American tabby and an Asian leopard cat. (My wife and I own a Bengal.) Hmmmmm.... makes me wonder about the true provenance of Bengals....

Yes, but unlike kitty cats, civets possess a disgusting musk sac like a skunk...or a mink, another nasty smelly little creature.
