Inevitable Next Step

You know this is coming, don't you?

Opening a window or wafting away smoke do nothing to reduce children's exposure to tobacco, researchers have found.

Only banning smoking inside the home altogether has any significant effect.

It's For The ChildrenTM!

Now let me just say that no one is allowed to smoke in the house when Bubs is here (Not that any of us would want to anyway). It's not because I believe that it will ruin his teeth or make him grow a third eye. He has a lot of allergies, and smoke makes him sick. I also try to clean the house really well before he gets here because dust affects him in much the same way.

But I don't need the government telling me that I can't smoke in my own house....and this is where this is heading.

Mark my words.

I for one, don't want the government in my house. I didn't make a fuss over banning smoking in public places, cause they are public places, and I can always go outside. But when they want to come into my house--that's when the big guns come out and the dogs are let loose.

That will be taking it too far and they might as well just put us all into prisons or something. No one has the right to come into my home and tell me I can't smoke.

They don't have the nuts to ban them altogether. Where would they get the replacement taxes? Everyone has their sticky little fingers in the pie and no one wants to give up his share.I have noticed that no government agency has been sued over tabbacco issues, even though they were forced on soldiers during WWII, as it was thought that nicotine was a "performance enhancer".
