Boring
Ok, yeah, now this is just getting boring. While it was fun and all for a while watching my anti-virus software delete all those little viruses, they can stop now. I've gotten about 20 so far since I've been home. At least I know I'm not the only one.
BTW, in case you hadn't noticed, there's a couple of Windows critical updates released today you might just want to download this evening in your spare time.
Forewarned is forearmed.

XP told me about the updates when I fired up the computer this morning. knowing that another new worm was going around, I was sure to update right awah (sometimes I put it off for a day or two).
I've been fortunate that I haven't gotten any of those emails, so my antivirus software hasn't gotten any exercise.

It seems to have stopped this morning, but yesterday afternoon...wow! I was getting hammered. It was really annoying too, because I was trying to talk to my son via IM and I kept getting interrupted by my anti-virus software with yet another infected e-mail.
I got a notification this morning from the Oklahoma Bar that they were getting reports that their address was being spoofed by some of the virus e-mails. This thing is really widespread.

My firm has been inundated by this bugger. Not the virus so much as the false "you sent me a virus!" bouncebacks. This thing spoofs like a maniac.
My users are all freaked out. I finally tweaked our spam filter to halt most of the false messages.
