Disneyland Coaster Derails

According to CNN, Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad coaster derailed, injuring at least 11. Fox says that one person was killed, 10 were injured.

Keith, we may have to find a new hobby.

Considering how many BILLIONS of people have ridden coasters safely, I think we're okay. :-)

I sometimes like to point out that more people die in traffic accidents over the Memorial Day weekend than have ever died riding roller coasters. Kinda puts the safety thing in perspective.

I know, but it sure seems like there's been a streak of them lately. Or maybe they're just being reported more.

It's reported more because people want to know EVERYTHING. We're a morbid lot.

I'll still ride coasters. Always will. Might just have to leave to kids at home, though.

They're like plane crashes. When one of them actually crashes, they get reported because they are a rare freak occurrence.

I think you're both right...and I don't plan to stop riding either.

I plan to live til I die.
