Now There's A Switch
A 7 pt. buck chased two women down an Ardmore, Oklahoma street into a pickup. It then attacked the truck repeatedly until a passing vehicle took care of the problem. It's rutting season, you see, which means that bucks become a bit....amorous.
Several people crowded around after the incident, some teasing one of the women, saying she should bottle the perfume she was wearing and sell it to hunters.
Boys, I think I know what perfume at least one of those women was likely wearing....and trust me, you prolly don't want it bottled.
How can I put this delicately?
A good deer hunting strategy is to take a woman hunting with you....but only at certain times of the month.
*ahem*

A guy takes his wife deer hunting with him and sets her up in a blind.
He tells her, "I'm going off this way. If you have any problems, fire two shots in the air and I'll come running."
So off he goes further into the woods in search of a nice rack (no, not THAT kind of rack!)
After awhile he hears a shot.
"Cool! Maybe she got one," he thinks.
Ten minutes later he hears two shots.
"Oh shit! She's in trouble."
He takes off at a sprint back to where he finds his wife with her shotgun leveled at a guy standing next to her "trophy."
The stranger looks at him with pleading eyes and says, "Mister, she can have my horse. Just let me get my saddle!"

Funny, something similar actually happened down home. Some hunters were packing into a wildlife management area when someone started shooting at their horses, thinking they were bears.
The shooter was a man.

Seems like every year, we have one or two hunters who bag themselves what we like to call a "Slow Elk."
In other words, a cow.

We call 'em "Slow Deer".

I don't know why, but that cracks me up even more than "slow elk."

I can understand mistaking a cow for an elk or a deer, but a horse for a bear??? You'd think the guy in the saddle on its back might've been a good clue that it wasn't a bear. I mean, I know some tough guys, but I don't know any tough enough to saddle up a black bear & ride it.
Now that would be a true "Bubba, hold m'beer and watch this" moment wouldn't it?
