Random Advice

For any of you young folk that might read this:

If you ever need your mom to break her longstanding rule about never giving money to grown children who should sink or swim on their own, just tell her that you don't have enough money to buy food for the week AND your birth control pills. And that you gotta eat.

Not that that would ever work on me. I have principles you know.

The third day of a fast is the hardest. After that the body adapts, and starts drawing down reserves. Given sufficient water, about a week without food is no problem for a healthy, previously well-fed person.
