Stuff This

Michele mentions something as a gag gift I've been thinking about:

"Santa says brushing your teeth is an important part of your day. I knew you would love the economy pack of toothbrushes, then."

I have been absolutely flabbergasted at the numbers of people who are buying toothbrushes, toothpaste & mouthwash as stocking stuffers for their kids. WTF is wrong with you people? Christmas stockings are for candy, not dental hygiene. It's one of the few days a year, besides Halloween, that kids can eat candy til they puke. Finding a toothbrush in your stocking is about as exciting as the inevitable socks & underwear I always got from one of my grandmother's as a Christmas present. At least that became a family joke as my granny became progressively more senile and we had to sneak around & exchange our gifts with our cousins to get the right size & type of underwear.

But toothpaste? That's just wrong.

What's the dumbest thing you ever got in your stocking?
