Christmas Roundup

A merry Christmas was had by all....especially WildChild. He's finally old enough to understand presents and was quite blown away by it all. WOW! was his word for the day. Although I told my sister we could've all saved a lot of money by just buying him batteries for the big red Dr. Suess fish-shaped flashlight she got him...his favorite toy by far. He also really liked the "My First LeapPad" from us, and the Go, Dogs, Go book. It is full of words he can "read", like "stop", "go" and "dog"...and he was tickled by the idea of dogs driving cars.

We had Christmas dinner at my parents', which also went pretty well. My increasingly senile mother managed to cook a reasonably decent meal...and she and my father only had one minor yelling spat. Not too bad.

In related news, my temp job ended as of last night, subject to recall. We're debating whether I would go back if they do call.....sacrifices to be made either way, though right now I'm thinking the non-tangible ones from not working outweight the extra breathing room the additional income provides. So it's likely you'll be seeing more of me around...at least until next semester starts.

There's even bigger good news in the works, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out what. I've been sworn to secrecy.

And you know how tight-lipped lawyers can be.
