No Guts, No Dinner

The USDA has banned the sale of cow guts tripas....and certain other tasty cow parts. (Link via Fark. Note to Farkers: Chitlins are made from hog guts in our neck of the woods. What are you guys, a bunch of damn Yankees?)

Other cow parts affected are the spinal cord. In addition, cow brains, tonsils and eyeballs, can only be sold for meat if the parts came from a cow less than 30 months old.

Good to know SlimJims and other mystery meat products won't be affected.

I eat nothing that contains beef lips. I know where them cows' lips has been.
