Not Too Bright
A Ft. Smith man was arrested after calling police to report a robbery. WTH you say? Well it seems he weren't too bright.
Lawson, 30, of Fort Smith called police around 10:30 p.m. Sunday to report that two men he knew had just robbed him of his money and 4 to 5 grams of methamphetamine.
Lawson identified the robbers, and they were caught and charged. But Lawson was arrested, as well, when responding police officers found hypodermic needles and a set of digital scales in plain view in the motel room where Lawson was living.
After his arrest, Lawson also told police about some $5000 worth of forged checks he'd been passing.
Sheesh. What a goober.

My boss was watching a residence where the new occupants seemed to be very nervous, and seemed to have a lot of prowlers. They were strangers to the community, had lived in the house less than a month, and had called the Police Department almost daily. During one patrol, the male occupant flagged him over, thanked him for the protection, and said that the people who were following and torturing he and his girlfriend had stopped just looking in the windows and beating on the doors. They had taken to climbing up in the trees where they used powerful flashlights to keep them (the tortured couple and their child) from sleeping at night. This was the beginning of the journey that led to the warrant that led to the meth lab in their living room. The strangest thing, we have about 1 tree per 1000 square miles here. What were those torturers thinking?
