Election Results
Y'all will be happy to know that the evil anti-smokers won, and the Fayetteville smoking ban passed by 410 votes. You'll be even happier to know that the wise citizens of adjoining Springdale defeated a proposition to allow restaurants to sell alcoholic drinks on Sundays.
What a world, what a world.

You'll have to wait til we move back to my hometown, then come for a visit. You can smoke & drink all you want. In fact, my ex owns the closest liquor store.

It'll be the death knell for all the campus bars.

Oh no. Bars are exempt. I guess they weren't worried about the health of all those bartenders & waitstaff. Besides, this was primarily for The Children, who presumably do not go to bars. Why one doctor even gave an impassioned speech about how every Monday his office was filled with children suffering from the effects of a 'smoke-filled' weekend.
Who knew so many children spend most of their weekends in restaurants?
