Hi-ho

It's off to work I go. They've added "The Star-Spangled Banner" to the canned playlist at work. Last night, every time it would play, I would check my watch to see if it wasn't time to go home because obviously the tv was going off the air. Then as it ended, I would have to catch myself before I yelled out "PLAY BALL!"

Does that make me a bad person?

Did you stand? Did you chastise all your co-workers who did not stand? There was some woman that downloaded that to play when her cellphone rang. I looked at everyone in the restaurant who did not stand, including her when her phone rang during dinner. ;)

No, we were all standing....but I hadn't thought about that.

Steeped in patriotism yesterday, I was amazed to see ALL the scouts at the Scout Fair stand each and every time the National Anthem was played...and it was played often.

Just watched coverage of this weekend's flooding in North and Central Arkansas. Some sad stories. Hope you are out of the line of destruction.

We're fine Kenneth. The landscaping we did last summer seems to have fixed the minor flooding problem we were having. All we had here in Fayetteville was some street flooding and such. Other folks nearby weren't so lucky.

It was especially sad to hear about the two toddlers drowned in nearby Huntsville. Their mother should've had better sense than to try & cross a flooded stream in that kind of weather.
