Choices
I haven't gotten to all the detainee opinions yet, but what I've read about them seems to indicate that the Supremes have left the military with a three-way Hobson's choice.
1. Detain combatants in the usual way, and try to interrogate them while dealing with endless court/tribunal hearings.
2. Let other countries detain them, whose interrogation methods may or may not be as humane or as effective as ours.
3. Kill them and lose any information they might have.
Thoughts?

I suspect that many who have to deal with the reality of it all will choose door number 3.
I still have not gotten around to reading the opinions.

I've only read Padilla and the only comment I have is what moron would file a habeas corpus against the wrong respondents AND in the wrong jurisdiction? And what idiot didn't answer with a motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction & failure to join the correct party?
I'm starting to think I didn't charge nearly enough when I was in private practice.
