Local Architect Dies

E. Fay Jones, a well-known Fayetteville architect, has passed away. Not familar with his work? Among other things, he designed the totally awesome Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs. As you can see, he was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright.

He will be missed.

That's beautiful!

I'm not generally a fan of FLW. I find his work to be less about a working building, and more about spatial geometry. But E. Fay seems to have taken his ideas to the realm of usefulness.

I'll have to pay that a visit when I get down there.

I'm not a huge fan of FLW either. You should definitely see Thorncrown next time y'all are down. It's really beautiful.
