Mystery Solved
When we came back from getting groceries Saturday morning, we noticed that our next-door neighbor's trash bin & recycling bin was on the sidewalk by our mailbox.....strange because that's a good 20-30 feet or so from where it normally sits. Later that day, I walked down to get the mail and found that our neighbor-across-the-street's mailbox 4x4 post, which sits a couple of feet from ours, was broken off right about ground level, there was dirt & scrape marks all over the sidewalk, and small personal belonging scattered everywhere....ink pens, a watch band and so on.
We figured there'd been a wreck, but didn't find out until this morning what had happened.
The [U of A] football team`s assistant strength and conditioning coach, Brent Lale, remains in critical condition at Washington Regional Medical Center.
Lale got into an accident Saturday morning as he drove east on Mission Blvd. in Fayetteville.
Police say Lale lost control of his motorcycle as he attempted taking a turn.
Lale suffered head trauma and internal injuries.
From the looks of things down there, I'd say his skid was stopped by the concrete retaining wall that's at the bottom of our lawn.
Sounds like a really bad wreck. Our sympathies & best wishes to his family.
