Party On
The families had a wedding reception/celebration party for my daughter & SIL yesterday. Stayed too busy to take many photos between chasing these two busy guys, replenishing the buffet, acting as bathroom guide and visiting with guests. I did manage to accidentally get this interesting photo of my son (on the left) and his bio dad. Their body language accurately describes not-so-good relationship, I'd say.
WildChild partied until he pooped out, fell asleep while sitting in my daughter's lap eating a sandwich. He napped for about an hour, then awoke as his alter-ego, Captain Cranky Pants, so he & I came home. On the way, he said when we got home, he wanted milk, a hotdog and a spoon. Wouldn't say why, but that's what he wanted.
Ooo-kay.
He was quiet for a while, then said "Ma, whachoo thinking?"
I replied "I'm thinking about why you want milk, a hotdog and a spoon."
"OOH," he said, and then was quiet again for a little bit. Then he spoke up "No, I want milk and a fork."
So that's what I gave him when we got home, and he was a happy camper. I fixed him a hotdog as well, but he didn't touch it. He was perfectly satisfied with a glass of milk and a fork.
He cracks me up.

Haven't any yet. Got some great videos, but they're seldom still long enough to photograph.

This is one of the things I love best about my youngest.....watching him learn to express himself, observing who he is and how he thinks.

And that is how they wrap themselves around your heart forever.
