No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
It's prolly a good thing I started the antibiotics yesterday. When I came home from class last night, our cat was on the porch squalling to be taken back inside. It was about 26 degrees out, so I picked her up even though I had my arms full of my school stuff. When I opened the door, the dogs were there doing their meet 'n greet thing, which totally freaked the cat out.
The old hussy bit me on the face, right above my upper lip. Twice....once hard enough to draw blood. Nothing serious, but damn it sure stung.
Ingrate = cat.

Oh my! I'm such a cat person, but that is just wrong! Out in the cold for that cat!

Oh I couldn't do that, she's too old to leave out in the cold. The temp got down in the low 20's last night, which is way too cold for her to stay out all night.
Can you believe she had the nerve to try & snuggle up to me later when I went to bed? And she got all pissed off when I told her 'I don't think so bitch'.

Only had one cat that ever bit me. We were at the vet's office and I was paying the bill when she bit my hand. I swatted the top of her head (lightly, just to get her attention) and told her "You DON'T bite me. You could have heard a pin drop and everyone was staring at me like I'd just ripped her from limb to limb. She never bit me again though!
Unfortunately, to do something like that, you would have had to drop everything you were carrying.

I had to settle for yelling "STOP IT!" and hissing at her. Which worked well enough. She unfortunately has a dog phobia, and Sassy was touching her tail so she totally freaked out. She's pretty bad to bite when she's annoyed anyway. WildChild is terrified of her....with good reason.
I had a similar experience at the vet's with Sassy, who snapped at the vet once when he was putting staples into a small cut over her eye. I smacked her on the nose and scolded NO NO! The vet said I shouldn't have because she only snapped at him because the staples hurt.
I told him I didn't care why, that my small grandson stayed with us a lot, and I didn't want Sassy to think it was OK to bite people she knew for any reason. He had to admit I had a point.
