Another Gem
Another gem in our local newspaper, this time from one of the town's mail carriers:
Doherty took the postal exam after finishing his military career and became a clerk for two years, as is the requirement. "The postal exam mainly tests your memory and how well you can transpose numbers," he said.
That certainly explains a lot, doesn't it?

I swear, I could make a whole blog out of dumb quotes from our local newspapers. The best one I've seen yet was from a lady who'd just taken a HIPAA seminar, and said that if someone at work told you about her medical problems while y'all were standing around the water cooler at work, and you repeated what she told you to someone else, that was a HIPAA violation.
I'd like to know who taught that seminar, because that is not even close to being correct.

Ack. Then again, HIPAA is truly one of the most annoying, bothersome, make-work creations in American healthcare history.
