Sadly, Curiousity Killed the Cat
My daughter had a little kitten, a tiny little thing that had appeared on a friend's doorstep one morning. I guesstimated its age was around 4 weeks at the time. It was a lively, sweet little thing, and my daughter had gotten quite attached to it.
Sadly, she came home from work yesterday morning to find that the poor little thing had somehow fallen into the toilet bowl and drowned. She never thought the tiny little thing could climb that high, and so hadn't closed the lid. She is, as you can imagine, broken hearted.
So, there's a lesson for us all. Kittens, like kids, can get into places you'd never dream possible.
You can't be too careful with either.

That is so sad. Poor little kitty.

She's pretty upset over it. I can't imagine how it even got up on the toilet as small as it was.
My brother-in-law wondered if that would work at his house. My sister's gotten her herd back up to around 6-8 cats, which is about 6-8 too many as far as he's concerned.

If you're not a cat person, yeah, definitely. If you ARE a cat person, the upper limit should be three, tops. Two is preferable.
There's no way I'd allow a blizzard of cats in my house. Not happening.

I'm not exactly a cat person, though I like to keep one or two around the house. My sister can't turn down one that needs 'rescued', however. And she is a cat person, so she usually ends up keeping them if she can't find them a good home.
