Just Drop It
I disagree with her statements. I think she is dishonoring her son's memory. But mostly I just feel pity for her.
Now can everyone please drop it and leave that poor crazy woman alone.

If she hadn't initiated her "vigil" and insisting on meeting with the President, then I would feel sympathy for her...but she morphed a poster child for the Dem/Prog/Lib left. She's now officially a Sucker.

Oh I don't think she's a sucker at all, she's doing all this quite deliberately. She's using them as much as they are using her. I feel pity because her son is dead, and that kind of overwhelming grief is almost unbearable. It causes people to do many very foolish things in an attempt to relieve their pain.
Right now she's angry & lashing out at the world. But what happens to her when the media & her new 'friends' move on to their next poster child? And now her mother is ill. Enough already.
Like I said, I think what she's doing dishonors her son's memory. Attacking & defaming his mother isn't much better, IMHO.

I liked Varifrank's take on Cindy.

Thanks for the link Craig, so do I. Like him, I've had two close family members lose a child, one to illness, one to a car accident. I've seen that kind of grief up close & personal. And I think what most people are missing is that she really isn't angry with the President so much as she's angry at her son for what he did and for his death. Her present actions is just the way she's found to re-direct her anger.
I agree that it's the wrong way, but I also understand that she's going to pay a terrible price for it later on down the road....much worse than anything anyone can say or do to her now. And for that reason I only have pity for her.
As for his point about the damage she's causing our war efforts, I blame the media for that. If this wasn't plastered all over everywhere, it wouldn't be a problem.
