Another Musical Meme
Ack, I've been tagged. Thanks neighbor.
1. Person who most influenced your musical tastes: Hmmm. Probably the 3 people who most influenced my strange musical tastes were my mom (country & bluegrass), my sister (rock) and my undergrad Music Appreciation professor (classical). The rest I just kinda picked up on my own.
2. Top 5 songs to drive to:
- Sedated, The Ramones
- Most anything by these guys
- In the Mood, Glenn Miller
- Bye, Bye Baby, Janis Joplin
- I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any right now. Hey what did you expect? It's 2 am.
3. # of CD's you own: I have no idea, prolly less than 50. I have to rilly, rilly like a band before I spend $15 for a CD. Plus about half my CD's are classical/New Age stuff that I only listen to when I'm writing legal briefs and such.
4. Song/CD you were listening to when you lost your virginity: Yeah right. Like I'd tell you.
5. Song(s) played at your wedding: None.
6. Favorite sad song: The Dance, Garth Brooks.
7. Song you'd like played at your funeral: Please Don't Talk About Me by Billie Holiday. My kids were horrified when I told them. Hehe. Oh, and this old gospel song, Just a Rose Will Do....sung by a quartet of shaped-note singers of course.
8. Song that bests describes yourself. You can only pick one, so choose wisely. Turtle Blues, Janis Joplin.
That wasn't so bad.
