Miers Withdraws
Fox News (tv) just reported Harriet Miers is withdrawing. The AP is reporting the same.
You knew that was coming, right?

All part of the plan.
*evil Rovian laugh*
But seriously. In my (relatively) short career, I've tried as many cases and done more appeals than she has.
And the more she opened her mouth, the more I was convinced she didn't know beans about ConLaw. That whole thing about the basis for apportioning votes just made me cringe. Even I knew that was incorrect. She's a good attorney by all accounts, but I'm not convinced she was judge material....let alone Supreme material.
I'm curious to see who's next at bat.

I was serious!!!
Seriously kidding that is!
And your right I was wondering why her nomination came completely out of left field with so many other folks he could of chose from. Unless this was some sort of red herring nomination.
Select someone NO one likes so that they next person is a shoe in just to get the drama over with.

It makes everyone feel good that she's no longer in the running. Now, to find the next victim...

She was starting to make me nervous, that's for sure. The last thing we need is another O'Connor.
I tell you Goddess, you couldn't pay me enough money to go through what she just did. You have to give her credit for doing it with grace.
