Test Drive

Went with the daughter today to look at new cars. This is the one she test drove....and wants in red with a spoiler. We're going back tomorrow to see what kind of deal the salesman can come up with.

While we were there, the salesman tried to nudge me towards one of these....which I have to admit if it's as much fun as my BIL's, is rather tempting. But not tempting enough to have a car payment again.

Besides, I bet it wouldn't get out of the driveway when it snows. I think I'll stick with my Subaru.

I love the Mazda3, but I'd settle for a car that ran well. I don't care what it looks like. It simply needs to run well and not billow smoke from here to eternity.

Her current car is pretty much on its last legs too. She said since she was going to have a car payment anyway, she may as well find something she likes in her price range. She picked this one primarily on its looks, but took me along for the test drive to check it out.

Seems like a fairly sturdy car for the money, handles well too. I steered her towards the model with the bigger 2.3L engine, since she'll be travelling a lot with it. Like I told her, where motors are concerned, bigger is almost always better.

Which is true of so many things. ;-)
