Things That Make You Go AAAAAAA!

When you're bagging up a mixture of leaves & trash, and the top of your bare hand brushes across one of these.

Yes I know they're harmless. But at the time, my brain only got as far as SNAKE! Classification took a little longer.

We found a total of 3. We stopped cleaning up long enough to let them all find new hiding spots. WildChild told me not to worry. If I saw any more snakes & one tried to bite me, Pa will kill it with his blowdryer.

It took me a minute to figure out he was talking about the leafblower.

While That1Guy was here he and I killed a Ringneck snake in my backyard while building my rock trim wall

Killed a Copperhead about 5 days ago while doing the same.

The creepy crawlies are out and about, so my wall building will probably take a backseat until winter comes. I hate snakes. Unless cooked well with lots of salt.

Didn't know that was a deadly weapon did you Jim?

Few things a copperhead likes better than a rock wall. I hope the garter snakes hang around. They eat lots of bugs & such. But I never promised to catch one & keep it as a pet. Unlike what WildChild told his mom when I took him home.
