Happy Girl
My doctor let me come home this morning so I am a happy girl. Thanks so much to everyone for all your good thoughts & well-wishes! The surgery went very well, and the nerve pain in my leg is (so far) completely gone.
They doped me up pretty good for the ride home, so I'm going to go sit down in front of the tv for a while.
But oh Toto, we're home, we're really home!
Now maybe I can get some sleep.

Glad to hear that all went well! Here's hoping for a very brief convalescence.

Thanks! One thing's for sure, they made sure I had plenty of painkillers for take-home. Sheesh. 3 different kinds.
It'll take up to a year for the bone graft & everything to completely heal. But I should be somewhat up & around pretty quickly.

Glad the surgery went well and you are back home. Just don't make the mistake I did and overdo it. Hoo boy! Give your body time to heal.
