Accused Hometown Terrorist Acquitted

Former U of A grad student Arwah Jaber has been acquitted of terrorism charges by a federal jury.

A federal court jury Monday found a Fayetteville man not guilty of attempting to provide material support to the recognized terrorist organization, Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Arwah Jaber was convicted of five lesser charges related to immigration and credit card fraud, however, and he will likely have his citizenship revoked.

There will be a hearing this morning on the government's petition to revoke his citizenship.

This has been a strange case indeed.
