Let The Wild Rumpus Begin!

I am now gainfully employed....or will be on Jan. 2nd.

WOO-HOO!

You're looking at (so to speak) the newest Benton Co. juvie PD.

I'm so excited!

1. Congratulations! Nice to see you're employed again.

2. I thought you gave up lawyering for IT. What happened? Or am I misremembering?

1. Thanks! I can't wait to get back to work.

2. I did. Couldn't find a job except for call centers @ $10/hr. Corporate compliance is apparently more interested in hiring names than talent.

A hearty WOO-HOO from New Hamshire - way to go!

Thanks Bogie! Now I have to get current on juvenile law between now & January. Given our current forecast (freezing rain this morning, 4-6 inches snow by tonight) I should have plenty of time for that. As long as I don't lose our internet connection anyway.

Congratulations!

PD=Probation Director?

Thanks Craig!

No, but close. Public Defender. But I will be working closely with JPO (Juvenile Probation Office).

Rita--Hearty congratulations from this outpost in Kansas. While it didn't seem to be a big step toward your life's ambition, you may be surprised that your time spent in a blue vest will be helpful to you in your role as PD. Again, congratulations!

Congratz Rita!!!

If you like I can hook you up with some of your counties finest in Detectives and Deputies if you want to ask them some questions etc etc on some of the locals habits

I don't work for Benton Co any more as a reserve officer, but they still have me on the S&R Volunteer list and I still speak to most of my friends there

*smacks forehead*

Duh. I guess when I saw "juvie," I immediately thought of probation.

No comment on why I thought that. :)

Thanks! Wouldn't be surprised if you were right, CopCar. After all, all those years as a children's attorney dealing with CWS sure helped in the blue vest job.

I'll definitely consider you a resource BloodSpite. I've already met several of the Benton Co. part-timers, and a couple of the Rogers guys....not in their official capacity of course. All nice people I'll enjoy working with I think.

Are you telling on yourself Craig? lol

Let's just say that although I was never on probation my own self, I did make one professional visit to the probie.

And I knew a lot of kids who were regular customers.

Wonderful news, Rita. Congrats from the Gahden State, where juvies pull some pretty nasty shit.
