Happy Holidays
Tree is up & decorated....with what is apparently lots of shiny kitty toys. We're trying the 'shatterproof' bulbs this year. So far, Smokey hasn't managed to break any. Though he was throughly offended when I repeatedly batted his paw away from the bulbs & told him NoNo! He finally walked away in a huff, and sat glaring at me & the tree. I said "You're going to totally destroy the tree as soon as I leave the house, aren't you?"
I swear he smirked.
Now I'm trying to finish up some chocolate dipped coconut bonbons. Apparently the chocolate must be heated to something like the temperature of the Sun's surface before it melts without lumps.
Yeah I know I could do in the microwave faster. Shut up. That's no fun.

We've only had one Christmas tree since we've been married. I was pleasantly surprised that the dogs and cat pretty much ignored it after the first sniff or two.
Now that we have different dogs and cats, I wouldn't give a tree a snowballs chance to stay even remotely intact!

This is the first time we've tried a decorated tree since we got Smokey. Since he got in all that trouble for knocking things off it, so far he's left it alone. He likes to sleep on the tree skirt though. The dogs ignore it.
Years ago, my previous cats would destroy my tree daily. Every day, come home from law classes, put the tree back together. Nothing I did worked, not even spraying them with water. It was like they thought I'd brought them the coolest climbing toy ever.
