Speaking of Old
Some days I feel positively ancient. For example, see the gentleman seated in the background of this picture? (annoying registration req'd) He's the county judge in my hometown. We went to the same school, and I've known him since he was a freckled-faced always-laughing young lad. And now he's a county judge. That's just.....too weird. I mean, I look at his picture and think jeez Johnny, we've become our parents.
Does that ever happen to you?

Really? It still just freaks me out to see someone I grew up with holding a government position. I mean, Johnny was a nice guy and has made a great county judge from all accounts, but....I guess I just remember him as he was in high school.

It's weird. VERY weird. Sometimes I actually forget how old I am (just for a split-second or two), and when I do realize my age, it's kind of a sudden "huh?!"
