B.O.L.O.

If you feed your cat or dog wet food, you might want to check here to see if it's been recalled. Apparently a major supplier has gotten reports of pets getting sick (and even dying) after eating certain products.

I've just checked ours, and they're ok. Mr. Kitty was quite surprised when I piled all his favorite foods on the table just now, and ran over to 'help'. By 'help' I mean 'walking back & forth between me & the spreadsheet I was trying to read, while purring loudly and rubbing against each pouch as I picked it up to read the UPC then against my face completely blocking my view'.

Mr. Kitty sure lurves his food.

And it has to be the cheap stuff. I've tried the more expensive brands, and he & the other cat just sniff it briefly and then look at me like "You don't expect me to eat this crap do you? Not happening."

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

My, aren't we up early?

One of our cats (Adhi, the retarded one) won't eat wet food at all. In fact, she won't even eat tuna out of the can. the latter sends the other two cats into spasms of orgasmic delight.

I'm usually up between 4-5 a.m. This morning I woke up at 3....I think I'm getting whatever it is that's going around the office. Bleh.

Ours love tuna, but won't touch catnip. They think it's revolting. Cats are weird.

I only have one cat that will eat canned food on a regular basis (friskies and sometimes 9-Lives, but nothing else). The other cat will only eat canned cat food in the winter, when he is trying to bulk up from his usual starvling look in the summer.

All other cats I have had wouldn't touch canned at all. Most of my cats haven't gone for catnip either - I think I read somewhere that 15-20% of cats don'e react to the stuff.
