Sweet Spring Snow

Here's what's forecast for tonight:

An area of wintry precipitation over southeast kansas will gradually develop into portions of northeast oklahoma and northwest arkansas late this afternoon and evening. Precipitation will likely start as rain, but should gradually mix with snow and eventually change to all snow before ending late this evening. Warm ground conditions should prevent significant accumulations, but up to an inch of snow will be possible, especially near the kansas and missouri borders.

Bring it on! I could use an April snow day.

Oh no -- I put my winter clothes up last weekend! I guess I will never learn.

I've stored most of mine too...and had to dig some out this morning! I may have to find my snow boots if it keeps snowing like it is now. It's really coming down.

This morning I could see snow on the rooftops and flowering trees. A bit crazy.

Sick? Twisted? And you say that like it's a bad thing.

Everyone today is talking about how they've never seen it snow in April. Pshaw. It doesn't happen often, but I've seen it snow even later in the month. I remember once teasing my kids that they were going to have to hunt Easter eggs in the snow.

They didn't think that was funny.

I remember when it always used to snow during Springfest in Fayetteville. Now that they have moved the festival to later in the season, it is not as likely. But still a possibility.
