Happy March!

There's about an inch of snow on my daffodils this morning. Roads are reportedly slick & hazardous. Climate Change! War! Pestilence! Famine! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!

Eh, not so much. Most years, we get a little snow when the daffodils start blooming. Winter's last gasp for the season. And usually just the right texture & consistency for making snow ice cream, which I did last night. Never had snow ice cream? As my grandma would say, they Lord have mercy, what's wrong with you? Mix a little milk, sugar, and vanilla until it tastes just right, then add clean snow until it's a creamy slush. Mmm, mmm, good & good for you.

Even though the roads weren't slick yesterday morning, we discovered driving down 540 to Fayetteville bridges & overpasses were. First bridge we hit I was like uh-oh, let off the gas & didn't touch the brakes. Unlike the 3 vehicles in the median at the Rogers exit...and while we were driving slowly by those, we also watched a big Escalade skidding off the northbound lane and disappear off the side of the road down the embankment. It appeared it managed to stay upright & drive onto the adjacent on-ramp, judging from the tire tracks we saw on the way back. That was some good driving or they were just really lucky....unlike these people.

That was bad.
